BESTLOG
A programme supported by the European Commission through DG TREN as the supervising authority. The project budget is CZK 3.05 million. The project is planned to end in February 2010.
The basic objective of the “Logistics Best Practice” project, one of the “Sustainable Surface Transport” projects, is to create an European platform for collection and effective promotion of exemplary logistic solutions with the aim to:

improve supply chain practice

improve supply chain education

reduce differences across Europe

set standards

create new jobs

achieve better match between EC policy and business practice needs
The project team consists of a consortium of 9 leading research institutions from 9 European countries. The project is led by the Technische Universität Berlin and other partners include: Oxford Said Business School, Szkola glowna Handlowa w Warszawie, Reliant s.r.o., European Logistics Association, University of St. Gallen, Metle, Instituto Technologico Del Embalaje, Transporte Y Logistica a Chalmers - Technology Management and Economics. Those institutions are responsible for various territorial parts of Europe and collect individual logistic practices in them. 30 best practice solutions have been collected so far from various logistic sectors.
